Hello! My name is Tyler Gibson. I am a massage therapist and bodyworker. My practice in massage therapy began after graduating from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in June of 2011. In school I was trained in a variety of therapies including Normalization of Soft Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial massage, Integrative/Intuitive, Swedish, Pre and Postnatal/postpartum, Oncology, Sports, and Orthopedic. I keep learning through taking continuing education that help further my practice and scope of how I can inspire my clients. During my sessions I draw from the various therapies and implement the techniques I feel to be most helpful to address my clients needs.
Mission
To provide my clients a way to help prevent injury, create stability, encourage healing from injuries, educate on ways to stay healthy, and inspire to keep you happy and engaged between sessions!
Personal Bio
A little about myself aside from my massage therapy practice... I was raised in Longmont, CO and am a Colorado native. When I was younger, I participated in many physical activities that gave me a deep understanding of how my body worked in many different situations. This gave me an advantage when I got into sports in high school, where I excelled in Wrestling and Tae Kwon Do. I have since pursued my interests in physical activities by hiking, running, weight-lifting, yoga, and various martial arts. One of my interests include Psychology and how the mind connects with our physical bodies, which is why I studied it and Integrative Physiology in college. These two areas of study have helped to develop and keep my interest in the human body and what it is capable of. Due to this, I have entered into a Masters of Science in Kinesiology through A.T. Still University to broaden my knowledge in regards to how our bodies work and what I can do to help keep others healthy, which I will by finishing in December of 2020. With this degree I will be learning about exercise programs, assessments for directing the programs, coaching techniques, and much more. Hope to see you soon!
